Support Workers provide a vital part in providing the people we support with the care and ability to improve their quality of life.

We are currently looking for a Support Workers to join our team in Carmarthen. 

This role requires the role holder to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.

Elm Lodge is a residential service that provides support and accommodation to adults who have long term mental health issues and or complex needs with the service being situated in the heart of Carmarthen town centre.

The team at Elm Lodge have been effective in giving and keeping up a steady, constructive and positive support that, along with a customised package of care, helps every individual we support to make progress towards their goals

The home has six ensuite rooms and a large elegantly decorated communal living room and dining room; , in addition to this there’s a large outdoor garden area with areas to grow vegetables and fruit.

On the ground floor there is a self-contained flat with an ensuite facility which is for individuals who wish to live more independently or have some mobility issues.

The team at the home invests and takes pride wholeheartedly in the excellent help and support provided to the individuals we support and the achievement that we have had in helping them to accomplish and keep up a better quality of life, develop confidence and to continue to live independently in the community.

The role is 37.5 hours a week and shifts will be across a 7 day rota that will includes days, waking nights and weekends.

Support Workers provide a vital part in providing the people we support with the care and ability to improve their quality of life.

Your role as a Support Worker will include:
- Providing 1-1 and group support sessions
- Creating engaging and creative ways to interact with the people you support
- Help with accessing the community and taking the people you support to their appointments.
- Set person-centred goals and agreeing on how to reach them
- Help with personal care when required
- Support the running of the home including the cooking and cleaning.
