Support Workers provide a vital part in providing the people we support with the care and ability to improve their quality of life.

We are currently looking for a Support Workers to join our team in Neath. 

Caewern Lodge is a residential care home for up to 6 adults with complex mental health support needs. Many of the individuals that we support have come out of long-term hospital stays and require support to reintegrate back into the community. We pride ourselves on its positive and welcoming atmosphere that contributes to providing high quality individualised support which is geared towards reaching individual goals.

Caewern Lodge is set in its own grounds and has 5-ensuite bedrooms and 1 studio flat all offering comfortable accommodation.  There is also a communal kitchen, lounge, conservatory and laundry room as well as a large garden area providing plenty of space.

The staff team take pride in enabling individuals to make progress and gain independence through the promotion of positive mental health, self-pride through what can be achieved and through working as a team so that individuals can live as fulfilled lives as possible.

The ability to speak in Welsh is desirable. 

The role is 37.5 hours a week and shifts will be across a 7 day rota that will includes days, waking nights and weekends.

Support Workers provide a vital part in providing the people we support with the care and ability to improve their quality of life.

Your role as a Support Worker will include:
- Providing 1-1 and group support sessions
- Creating engaging and creative ways to interact with the people you support
- Help with accessing the community and taking the people you support to their appointments.
- Set person-centred goals and agreeing on how to reach them
- Help with personal care when required
- Support the running of the home including the cooking and cleaning.
