Senior Support Worker 

Pay rate: £13.61 per hour / £28,308.80 per annum

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Service: Apple House – Apple House Bournemouth

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join our team at Apple House 

At Apple House, we encourage the people we support to take an active role in their lives by helping them carry out daily tasks. To develop confidence and promote social inclusion, we help everyone seek new activities and experiences both locally and in the wider community.

We offer a range of our own activities, including pet therapy, visiting owls and dogs, BBQs, picnics, and parties, and we also hold a variety of events. Everyone has a choice of where they would like to go and what they'd like to do, including on annual holidays and weekend breaks. A break away offers people supported the opportunity to interact with new friends in new surroundings and to help develop their social skills.

The Senior Support Worker Role:

As a Senior Support Worker your role will be to assist in the senior management to assess peoples support needs and work with people we support to initiate and develop new ideas and methods regarding the quality of service.

The most important qualities needed are the ability to treat others with respect, listen to their needs and understand their emotions. Be Kind, friendly and honest.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Supporting adults with learning disabilities.
  • Have a Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or working towards this.
  • Able to motivate and manage a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
