Deputy Manager

Salary: £33,003 Per Annum  

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, worked over 5 days on a flexible rota, Monday to Sunday. This includes evenings, weekends, and occasional night shifts.

Service: Essential Care and Support

Essential Care and Support Abbeyvale are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager for our Residential Service in Hartlepool.

Essential Care and Support is a part of the National Care Group and is a dedicated specialist in providing person centred care across our residential services. Abbeyvale Care Centre supports older adults in a Residential Care Setting. It is a warm and caring residential service designed to suit the needs of people with various diagnoses, including physical disabilities, symptoms of old age, dementia diagnosis, and mental health needs.

The Deputy Manager Position:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a team to deliver truly person-centred support that unlocks potential and enhances lives.

You’ll manage our residential service, to ensure smooth, safe, high-quality service delivery whilst staying present with the people we support.

From coaching and leading your team to liaising with external agencies and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes — this is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are ever the same.

About you:

You’re not just experienced — you’re driven, compassionate, and ready to make an impact.

•    Strong background in learning disabilities, mental health, or complex needs

•    Level 5 or equivalent/ above qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent experience)

•    Proven leadership

•    Natural people-leader with coaching and mentoring skills

•    Most importantly: you care. Deeply.
